University of Essex | SEGUE | UECLAA presents FESTIVAL BRASILEIRO 21-23 May 2010 Various times and venues: University of Essex, Wivenhoe Park, Colchester Curated by University of Essex Artist in Residence Adriano Adewale Festival Brasileiro is a three day festival celebrating the arts, music and culture of Brazil, which is taking place at the Lakeside Theatre and across the campus at the University of Essex, Colchester 21-23 May 2010. Curated by the Lakeside Theatre Artist in Residence Adriano Adewale, the festival is the culmination of his residency and brings together a fantastic selection of interactive, educational and entertaining Brazilian events. As Adriano states: "For three days in May, the University will be host to a rich mixture of all things Brazilian as it presents Festival Brasileiro. The festival is the culmination of my year as artist in residence at the University of Essex and I hope that you will not only enjoy the performances and events I have lined up for you but will learn something new about Brazilian culture. As atividades do evento ocorrerao no Teatro Lakeside e em areas diversas do campus da universidade de Essex, Colchester 21-23 Maio 2010. O artista em residencia do teatro Lakeside, Adriano  Adewale, e o curador do festival, e como parte de sua residencia organizou uma serie de eventos como oficinas de bumba-meu-boi/capoeira angola/canto, pecas de teatro, shows musicais, todos oriundos da cultura brasileira. Durante tres dias do mes de maio, a universidade proporcionara uma grande variedade de acontecimentos que serao apresentados durante o festival. Este evento culmina com a minha residencia na Universidade de Essex.
